Class Description
Mysore style - tradditional method 

Is a self-paced practice open to all levels and every student will progress linearly one posture at a time. We use a "hands on" approach to guide students into their best expression of every posture.  
Successive poses are taught upon proficiency with the last so that every student is given a practice tailored to their own unique strengths within the Ashtanga yoga framework.  All levels practice in a group environment drawing motivation and support from fellow students. 
Pilates series

 Pilates as originally intended.  A 30 min. intense core focused class offered everyday at lunch time. Pilates and Ashtanga yoga have basically the same focus on those deep muscles in the abdomen and back. The difference comes with a western vs. eastern point of view.  The founder Joseph Pilates created these exercises as rehabilitation/ physical therapy for injured World War One soldiers.  As classic mat Pilates is performed lying on the floor it lends itself to a simpler and more direct experience of those deep trunk muscles that are important for a strong and healthy range of movements.

  Pilates is a great workout addition for those looking to further cultivate the core strength for advanced yoga, or any other physical discipline, to those who simply want a flatter tummy, stand taller and look slimmer.
